CUPRA x TIM WES | ROTTERDAM ART WEEK

Born in the Mirror Hour interprets artist Tim Wes' vision of the distant tomorrow. His glass and light
installation is a journey through time, offering a glimpse of what tomorrow might look like. "Changes are happening so fast that we barely notice the next 'thing’. If we have to believe the news, we will soon be traveling to other planets instead of foreign countries.” As a creator, Wes likes to let his thoughts roam freely on topics like this. He hopes to help shape this future with his creative mind, vision and ideas. The great unveiling will be during Rotterdam Art Week. After that the installation will remain at the CUPRA Garage Rotterdam until Friday 10th March.

CUPRA is the car brand of the future and recently launched their 100% electric Born. Wes takes us on his time travels with his art installation. With "Born in the Mirror Hour" Wes interprets a passage from such a vision. One that tells the story of a world in which we have all the information at our disposal, where we can rearrange everything and wonder about the "why" behind certain issues.

This special collaboration during Rotterdam Art Week symbolizes progress and offers innovative
perspectives on what is perceived as ‘reality’ today. "The new generation doesn’t want to dwell on the past. They want to go off the beaten track to create and shape new canvases." According to the multi-disciplinary visionary, it starts with asking the right questions. This leads to opening new portals and discovering galaxies that will allow humanity to evolve and survive on Earth.
