Rotterdam Photo, an annual photo fair with a festival touch. The event celebrates the spectrum of contemporary photography in all its diversity.
As part of the Rotterdam Art Week, the event attracts thousands of visitors. Among them are art lovers, collectors, gallerists and international art professionals from different parts of the world.
Each year the fair offers a wide range of independent photographers (about 80) the opportunity to exhibit their projects. Photographers can participate individually or on behalf of the gallery participate by submitting their works and projects through an open call related to the current theme. Inspired by Rotterdam's history as a port city, the festival offers the selected photographers exhibition space in reused shipping containers and the public space of the city of Rotterdam to take photography beyond the "white cube" tradition. The festival feeling is created thanks to various exhibitions, live music, artist talks and food trucks - the audience and participants can enjoy the atmosphere of the event and celebrate photography together with us.
