Lawrence Weiner's statement Taken Apart & Put Back Together Again serves as the motto of the exhibition curated by guest curator Nathalie Zonnenberg. The statement takes as its starting point the imaginary collection of Tlön Projects, which is formed by selected works of art from various international private collections. Tlön Projects aims to make these works accessible to a wider audience.
For Taken Apart & Put Back Together Again, a selection of works has been made that consists of “doubles” with a conceptual similarity. Two different works have always been brought together that (originally) form a whole, like twins separated at birth that are reunited after some time. The exhibition is structured as a journey of discovery in which visitors link the twin works together, similar to the Memory game, but slightly different.
