Rotterdam Art Week 2024

The next edition of Rotterdam Art Week will take place from Wednesday 31 January to Sunday 04 February 2024.

The festival for art, design and architecture lovers with various fairs, special exhibitions in museums and art institutions, pop-up exhibitions and open workshops/studios.

Experience all art, design and architecture during Rotterdam Art Week with various Do It Yourself Routes, from Wednesday 31 January to Sunday 04 February!

Public transport

The locations of the Rotterdam Art Week are easily accessible by public transport.

It is a 5 to 10 minute walk from the following metro stations:

– Metro station Central Station for participants in the city center

– Metro station Marconiplein for participants in the Merwe-Vierhavens (M4H) area

– Metro station Eendrachtsplein for participants around the Museumpark and the Witte de Withstraat

– Metro station Wilhelminaplein for participants around Kop van Zuid

– Location Van Nelle Factory (Art Rotterdam) is easily accessible by bus 38 from Central Station.

Parking

Are you coming by car? Parking is possible in the following garages:

– Parking Europoint, Marconistraat 16 (6 minutes walk) or Bigshops, Vierhavensstraat 63 K – 197 (8 minutes walk) for participants in the Merwe-Vierhavens (M4H) area

– Parking garage Wytemaweg 12 for participants around the Museumpark and Parking Westblaak, Hartmansstraat 35, for participants around the Witte de Withstraat.

– Interparking World Port Center, Wilhelminakade 981 or Q-Park De Rotterdam, Wilhelminakade 300 for participants around Kop van Zuid.

– You can park at the location Van Nelle Factory (Art Rotterdam), Van Nelleweg 1 (paid parking).

Are combi tickets available for the Rotterdam Art Week?

No, there are no combi tickets available. Every event has its own ticket sales. Some institutions do, however, apply a discount, for example on presentation of an Art Rotterdam ticket. At Art Rotterdam in the Van Nelle factory there are no discounts on showing tickets from other institutions. If a discount applies, this is stated on the page of the institution or event under “Program” on this website.

Is the Museumjaarkaart or Rotterdam Pass valid during the Art Rotterdam Week?

That differs per event during the Art Rotterdam Week. You can see whether discount cards apply for each individual organization on the “Program” page.

Is the entrance fee paid everywhere?

No, paid entrance does not apply everywhere. If you look at “Program” you can specify filters there. One of the filters is “free entrance”; if you check this, the events will appear where you do not have to pay an entrance fee.

Is Rotterdam Art Week easily accessible?

Yes, the Rotterdam Art Week is easily accessible; free shuttle buses are even used. On Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday the free shuttle buses run between the Van Nelle factory, the Museum Quarter, the Kop van Zuid and the Merwe-Vierhavens area. Is there an overview or map of all events in the Art Rotterdam Week available?

Yes, there is an overview and a map available on this website, under “Map”. You can click on all the museums, institutions, fairs and pop-up events on the map with the index below. There is also the possibility to download and print the map in pdf-file. So you can prepare well for everything the different areas have to offer.
